Long stem premade fans are perfect for beginners. They are easier to use and forgiving when it comes to isolation and placement. The longer stem allows for more room to grip the fan, making it easier to attach to the natural lashes. This type of fan creates a dramatic and dense look, perfect for clients looking for a black eyeliner effect, especially if your clients have a lot of natural lashes.
On the other hand, short stem premade fans have a shorter and pointier base with a wider appearance. They are slightly harder to use if you're a beginner, but they create a more naturally fuller look. They are ideal for filling gaps in sparse natural lashes and result in a softer, fluffier look, like that of handmade Russian volume fans.
Choose 0.07 if you want a set that is lightweight to create a natural volume look. This can be used for any natural lash type. With a longer base than other styles such as short or pointy stem lashes, they are designed to create a dark and full look quickly and easily.
Long stem fans have a longer base that resembles the base of classic lashes, making them easier to pick up and apply. They provide a more pronounced look, creating dramatic volume and an eyeliner effect, whereas short stem fans have a shorter base, offering a more natural and fluffy appearance.
We do not recommend mixing different styles, especially short, long stem, or pointy stem lashes, as the shape can be quite different, and the final result may look inconsistent. However, if you use the same long stem fans throughout the set, it is okay to mix and match curl and length to create unique and more natural results.
Apply long stem premade volume fans by gently picking up the fan from the base using tweezers, dipping it into the adhesive (coating about 2-3mm or a tiny blob, ensuring you don’t dip for too much glue), and then applying it. Easy as that! Ensure proper isolation of natural lashes to avoid stickies and possible lash damage.
The number of fans per eye depends on the desired volume and the client's natural lash density. Typically, you can use 60 to 120 fans per eye to create a full set. For infills, you would use fewer fans.
Before the application, ensure the natural lashes are clean and free of oils. Use a primer or lash cleanser if necessary and choose the right adhesive for your environment. Proper isolation and attachment techniques are crucial for good retention. Additionally, educate your clients on how to take care of their lashes properly.
